After nearly ten years of hoarding, it's time to thin the proverbial herd. In addition to all our classics, we've added some next level hides and partial hides, perfect for the intermediate and advanced leatherworkers among you!   

We've also added what we're calling the Axe Junkie Special, loaded with big slabs of our heavy bridle, perfect for axe sheaths (knives too, of course). 

About these here remnants

We go through a lot of leather these days. With most of our emphasis on the main line of aprons, we are generating more and more scrap. Good sized pieces, but either too small or oddly shaped for an apron, pocket or anything else in our main line. 

And since it would hurt our hearts to throw away such a precious commodity, it's well... just sitting here taking up space. 

Of course we do our very best to sort out anything we don't think you'll use, but we ain't exactly busting out the ruler to measure each piece.  Also, a lucky few of you may even score a piece that's branded... no extra charge for the awesome. 

Whole Hides
A great selection of uncut whole hides, including Dyed Walnut Bison, undyed Medium Brown and Classic Tobacco, plus a couple fancy Wicket & Craig and even some fancy Italian stuff. Whole hides range from 18-22sf (bison) to 22-25sf (tobacco)

Half Hides and Partials
Loads of partial hides and a handful of very large pieces that go together as a half hide "set," some larger than others. See pics for exactly what's listed. Priced roughly based on size. 

Blem Hides
These are less than perfect, including cuts, scars, bug bites. All things that give a piece of leather character, if you ask me. 

Sizing - We try to be as generous with this stuff as possible, without including any junk or unusable pieces. 
Small - Size of your hand or smaller
Medium - Size of 1-2 hands
Large - Size of many hands (3-4+?)

New - Colors! Mixed Red+Olive+Orange+Blue+Mahogany - Mixed thicknesses. Mostly small pieces with a few medium (size of your hand?) pieces in the mix, Great for wallets and small projects. Lots of Wicket. Lots of Craig. Lots of Italian Buttero. 5lb and 10lb boxes available.

The following are 10lb boxes unless otherwise noted

Tobacco - Mix of Medium to Large pieces - Soft
Classic Tobacco - 4.5-5.5oz leather. Medium brown, shades vary. 
Black Tobacco - 5-5.5oz leather. Jet black. Heavy duty, baby. 
Walnut Stampede - 5-5.5oz leather. Dark Walnut color. Heavy duty, too.

Bison - Mix of Medium to Large pieces - Super soft
Light Bison - 4-5oz leather. Lighter in color... think pine or maple sawdust. 
Medium Brown Bison - 4-5oz leather. Medium Brown with occasional Dark Brown mixed in. 
Walnut Bison - 4-5oz leather. Hand-dyed dark brown

Bridle Leather
Mahogany Bridle - Mix of Small to Large pieces - Stiff
5-7oz leather. Medium brown, shades vary. Excellent for wallets and smaller projects. This is the most used leather in the shop so scraps will be on the small side. 
Heavy Bridle - Mix of Small to Large pieces - Stiff
These are leftovers from our heavy duty belts. Some very nice large pieces mixed in with occasional cord and smaller 1.5" wide belt pieces. Options include Walnut, Black, Cognac (reddish), Whiskey and Mahogany 
Natural Veg Tan - Ranges from 4oz all the way up to 12oz, depending on what's on hand. Pinkish in color and ready for dye or wet molding.
Belt Cutoffs - Mostly 1.5" wide straps from belt ends in a variety of lengths.
Bridle Straps/Lacing - Narrow straps in a variety of thicknesses and lengths. 5lb boxes.
