First, let me say that I really hate tradeshows. During my corporate days, I spent countless hours on the unforgiving concrete floors of convention centers from Orlando to Las Vegas. And I've done my level best to avoid them since starting Calavera.
However, there is this one... WorkbenchCon, down in Atlanta every March for the past 5-6 years. And it took me awhile to warm up to it. At first, I just thought it was a bunch of social media types (which it is!) celebrating one another's popularity (which it definitely is not!).
But after experiencing it for myself, and embracing it as a gigantic weekend-long meetup of likeminded makers, I kind of fell in love. Some of the most talented, creative people I've ever met... who also happen to be some of the most generous and approachable people I've come across.
Simply put, it's a 2+ day party (interrupted by classes and keynote speeches from some of your favorite makers from around the country). It's pretty much a non-stop good time.
And whether it's your first year or your fifth, it's the most welcoming crowd you could imagine.
If you want to join in for the good times, head this way for more info.
