The Jory Brigham Experience - Revisited

Had the good fortune to attend the Hank Chair Class out at the Jory Brigham Workshop during a recent trip to California. Even better, I was accompanied by my Handsome Boy, Patrick, new to woodworking himself, but a quick study.

I've known Jory for many years, beginning during my time at Festool. At the time, we built our entire marketing program, not just around Jory, but around the idea that American craftsmen use tools differently than their European counterparts. Our techniques are different, workshops are different, our clothes are different... our overall spirit is different. And that is honestly what drove the great success of Festool in those formative years.

So it was a reunion of sorts to be back with my friend, and to show my son how we approach things... how we create fantastic things out of a raw piece of wood.

If you have the opportunity, I cannot recommend highly enough the experience that Jory offers. You will see things that will literally just blow your mind. And you will enjoy a few days that feel more like a zen retreat that starts early and lasts late into the night.

10/10 experience. No notes.

Now go sign up and get something this special for yourself.

Oh, and scroll down to see some of the early run and prototype aprons that formed the basis and evolved into the quality gear we make today.
